How It Works
Our 2-Month Board & Train Program focuses on building essential obedience skills and exposure to new experiences. Your dog will stay with us full-time, receiving 24/7 care, structure, and training. You’ll also have opportunities to visit and work with your dog throughout the program, ensuring you stay connected and confident in their progress. (Visitation schedule varies—reach out for more details.)

Basic Commands
We teach clear, everyday commands that make life easier:
- Sit – Sit down
- Heel – Walk calmly on your left side
- Here – Come when called
- Place – Go to a bed or mat and stay
- Off – Move away or get down
- Leave it – Ignore or drop something
House Manners
At home, your dog should stick to three spots:
- Their bed/place
- Engaged with you (playing, cuddling, or training)
- Their crate
This keeps things simple and avoids bad habits like jumping on guests or sneaking around the house. We help your dog learn this routine while they’re with us, so you get a calmer, more respectful dog when they come home.

We get it! But dogs are natural den animals and love having a space to relax. With enough playtime and your involvement, crate and bed time becomes a healthy part of their day.
Exposure
Your dog will get to explore new sights, sounds, places, and situations. This helps build their confidence and makes them more adaptable in everyday life.
Off-Leash & E-Collar Training
We use the E-collar as a safety tool, not a punishment. It helps your dog respond to your commands — even when they’re distracted or off-leash.
We’ll teach you exactly how to use it the right way, so your dog listens because they trust and respect you — not just because of a collar.

You’re at the park. Your dog spots a rabbit and bolts.
You say “Here!” and tap the E-collar.
They turn around and come right back.

Potty Training
Yes, we cover that too! We follow a routine that prevents accidents and sets clear expectations. When your dog goes home, we’ll teach you how to keep that routine going.
Potty training is easy when structure, timing, and boundaries are in place.
Fitness & Health
One of the biggest bonuses of our Basic Obedience Program is that your dog will get in the best shape of their life. We know that exercise and diet are key for both behavior and overall health. While they stay with us, they’ll have plenty of space to run, play, and build muscle through structured activity.
By the time your dog comes home, they’ll be more fit, healthy, and ready to show off their new skills — no matter their age!
Your Involvement Matters
We do the heavy lifting at first, but we need you to join in. You’ll come to a few sessions once your dog has the basics down. We’ll walk you through everything, so the training sticks long after they come home.
